Erath-A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr.Wilbert Robert Verret, 84, will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006 at 2:30PM at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Herb Bennerfeld officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 8:00AM until time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of The Lake Mausoleum.

Mr. Verret a native of Mermentau and a resident of Erath went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 5:05PM at Abbeville General Hospital. Mr. Verret was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was a veteran of World War II,serving in the Coast Guard. He was retired from Diamond Crystal after 26 years of employment.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Hebert Verret, of Erath; one son Wendell and wife Karen Verret, of Youngsville; one sister, Bernice McQuinn, of Middletown, Ohio;one step grand-daughter Karyn Veazey; one step grand-son Steven Veazey both of Lafayette; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Lewis,and Helen Duhon Verret.

David Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.
