View Video TributeLoving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Emery Guidry, Sr., Age 55, at 10:00AM Saturday July 11, 2009 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday July 10, 2009 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Scott, longtime resident of New Iberia and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Guidry died Wednesday July 8, 2009 at 4:00PM at his residence in St. Martinville. He was a welder foreman for Dale McAnally Inc. A graduate of Acadiana High School Mr. Guidry enjoyed playing pool. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will never be forgotten. Survivors include his wife, Donna Fabacher Guidry of St. Martinville; two sons, Emery Guidry Jr. and Toby Guidry of Scott; two stepsons, Paul Dore and wife Stephanie of St. Martinville and Raymond Dore and wife Stephanie of St. martinville; one step daughter, Lisa Thomas and husband John of St. Martinville; two brothers, Huey of Sunset and Michael of New Iberia; two sisters, Patsy of Scott and Loyce Breaux Meaux of New Iberia and five grandchildren, Stephen, Kayla, Connor and Riley Dore and Hunter Thomas. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerdy Guidry and a brother, Carroll Miller. Pallbearers will be Bret Menard, Michael Simon, Howard Champagne, Charles Thomas, Raymond and Paul Dore.
