Lafayette- Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 10 am at Covenant United Methodist Church in Lafayette for Adelaide Holland Holloway, 85. Brother Willis Dear will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family requests that visitation be held Tuesday, November 28, 2006 from 5pm till 8pm. Adelaide was born in Dallas Texas on May 4, 1921 and went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at Kingsley Place Assisted Living facility in Lafayette. She was a devoted member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Lafayette. She is survived by four daughters, Patricia Ann Hines of Euless, Texas, Kay Cecile Davidson and her husband James Joseph III of Lafayette, LA, Claudia Jean Steen and her husband James Orville of Lafayette, and Diana Lynne Puckett and her husband Timothy Winston of Grandville, TN; and two sisters, Lewcille Nolan of Keller, Texas, and Katherine Weathers of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton Travis Holloway, three grandchildren, Infant Hines, Travis Gregory Hines and Martin Timothy Puckett, two brothers and two sisters, her father, Lewis Files Holland, and her mother Ruby Cecile Bland. The family would like to express a special word of gratitude to the staff of Journey Hospice and to Kingsley Place Assisted Living Facility for the devoted care which they have shown their mother in the past months. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to the Building Fund of Covenant United Methodist Church at 300 E.
