Lafayette- A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 2 pm at St. Mary Episcopal Church in Franklin, LA, . located in Franklin on First Street for Alexander Shepherd Jones III, 49. The Reverend Francis Daunt will conduct the memorial service. He was born in Franklin, LA on July 1, 1957 and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Lafayette Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Shep graduated from Hanson Memorial High School and attended Nicholls State University, and he received his Culinary Science degree from Louisiana Technical College in Lafayette. He was an avid sportsman and a loving father to his daughter, Alexis Elizabeth Jones. He is survived by his daughter, Alexis Elizabeth Jones; his mother, Jean Dumesnil Jones; and two brothers, James Peterman Jones of Baton Rouge, LA and Robert Michael Jones of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his father Alexander Shepherd Jones, Jr. The family would like to express a special word of gratitude to Alexanders care givers and to Dr. Hector Robles.
