Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather New Iberia " Funeral services for Mr. Ridgeway A. Ky Derouen, Sr., 79, of New Iberia will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006, at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in St. Marcellus Cemetery in Rynella, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2006, from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM and Saturday, November 25, 2006, from 7:30 AM until service time at David Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 PM. in the funeral home. Mr. Derouen passed away at 3:50 PM on Thursday, November 23, 2006, at his residence. A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Derouen was an operator for International Salt Mine Company for 27 years. He was a member and Past Vice Commander of The American Legion Post # 335 and was an avid Saints fan. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Winona Winnie Derouen of New Iberia; sons, Ridgeway Derouen, Jr. and his wife, Pamela of New Iberia, Macena Derouen of New Iberia and Scotty Derouen of Fort Walton, FL; daughters, Joy Hernandez and her husband Randy of Youngsville; Donna Poirrier and her husband Drew of San Antonio, TX and Misty Morgan and her husband Terrance of New Iberia; sister, Diana Lynn Smith and husband Harold of New Iberia; brother, E.J. Derouen and wife Verna of New Iberia; and16 grand and great-grandchildren. Mr. Derouen was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Lelia Laviolette Derouen. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Terrance Morgan, Robert Derouen, Collin Burke, Randy Hernandez, Ashley Derouen and Richard Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be Royce Derouen, Jon Marsiglia and Drew Poirrier. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
