Leon "Wallace" Joseph Broussard

Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Leon "Wallace" Joseph Broussard, 76, will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at David Funeral Home Chapel in Youngsville with Father Francis Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Youngsville on Monday, December 22, 2008 beginning at 10:00AM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Annes Cemetery.
Mr. Broussard, a native of Lafayette and a resident of Maurice, passed away at 6:00AM on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at a local Lafayette Hospital. Mr. Broussard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He was a self employed auto Mechanic who also loved working out doors, and working with anything with his hands.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Romero Broussard of Youngsville; two daughters, Connie B. Beasley and her husband Kenneth of Maurice, and Lori B. Johnson and her husband Jody of New Iberia; one son, Allen J. Broussard and his partner Lee Degeyter of Erath; two sisters, Bessie B. Whittington of Duson, and Daisy Broussard of Youngsville; six grandchildren, Christopher Beasley, Jennifer Broussard, Joshua Broussard, Ashley Broussard, Joey Johnson, and Crystal Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Mason, Jadyn and Saniya.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Val Broussard and Daisy Piceron Broussard; two brothers and three sisters.
Serving as pallbearers will be Allen J. Broussard, Christopher R. Beasley, Joey J. Johnson, Jody J. Johnson, Joshua A. Broussard, Robert Broussard, Connie G. Beasley, and Lee Degeyter.
Honorary pallbearer will be Gavin Davidson.
David Funeral Home of Youngsville, 201 Lafayette St., (337) 856-4155, will be handling the arrangements.
