Lafayette- a Mass of Christian burial will be held for Mrs. Loritha Victorian Fontenot, 76, on Wednesday, December. 6, 2006 at 11:00AM at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Vu officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 9:00AM until the time of services. Interment will be at a later date in San Diego, CA. Mrs. Fontenot a native of Eunice and resident of Youngsville died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at 8:31PM at The Heart Hospital of Lafayette. She was a devoted Catholic and mother who raised her children alone and was proud of them. Shewas a nurse for over 25 years working herself from a CNA to a LPN. She is survived bytwo sons, Bernard James Muhammad of San Diego, CA and Karl Fontenot; a daughter, Karen FontenotWalkerofYoungsville; abrother, Roger Lee of San Diego, CA; a sister, Thrersa of San Diego, CA; eighteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Victorian and Ophilea Comeaux Lee; a daughter, Constance Fontenot Walker; two brothers, Joseph and Audrey Victorian; and two sisters, Lorena Malveaux, and Irene Davis. Pallbearers will be Bernard James Muhammad, John Walker, Shannon Fontenot,Kevin Fontenot, Joseph Augustine, and Louis Benjamin David's Funeral home of Lafayette will be handling the arrangements.
