New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Richard Eldridge the former Rita Prioux at 2:00PM Monday Feb. 13, 2006 with Father Jude Halphen officiating at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Loreauville. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Mausoleum. Visitation will begin Monday at 10:00AM at David Funeral Home on Trotter St. in New Iberia until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 11:30AM on Monday at the funeral home. She died at 5:10PM on Friday Feb. 10, 2006 at Consolata Nursing Home. A native of Loreauville Mrs. Rita has been a resident of Consolata nursing home for the past 18 years. She was a member of the Belle Place Home Demonstration Club and she was an avid flower gardener and an accomplished seamstress. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Hospice of Acadiana for their loving care. And a special thanks to Dr.s Alvarez and Hankenhoff and the nurses and staff of Consolata nursing home for the care given to their loved one. Survivors include her son Forrest R. Eldridge, his wife Darlene, and a grandson Forrest Eldridge Jr. all New Iberia. A granddaughter Hilarie Eldridge Pengelly and husband Simon of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Eldridge, her parents Frank Prioux and Celina Bonin Prioux, a brother Annas Prioux and a sister Mae P. Hernandez. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is charge of arrangements.
