Erath - A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date for Adolphe "Toot" Bertrand who was born on July 23, 1924 in Praire Gregg, Vermilion Parish and died March 22, 2007 at Eastridge Nursing Center in Abbeville, LA. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mabel Granger Bertrand; three daughters, Brenda Thibodeaux and her husband Michael Thibodaeux, Bertha Mire and her husband Robert Mire, and Mary Bertrand; six grandchildren, Dedra Buddecke, Jennifer Mire, Kelly Mire, Ellen Thibodeaux, Scott Mire, and Seth Thibodeaux; and two great grandchildren, Emily Rung and Ali Buddecke. Special thanks to EastRidge Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana. David Funeral Home of Erath is in charge of arrangements.
