Lafayette- A Service of Christian Burial for Mrs. Carol Dugas, the former Ruth Morgan, 86, will be held at David Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 1:30PM. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 until time of service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Dugas a native of Creston, Iowa and was a resident of Youngsville, Louisiana died on January 1, 2007 at 4:40 AM at Lafayette General Hospital. Mrs. Dugas was an active member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness of Youngsville. Mrs. Dugas was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her home. Mrs Dugas is survived by her husband, Carol Dugas of Youngsville, La.; one daughter, Carole Goudeau and her husband Gene of Youngsville, La.; two stepdaughters, Barbara Broussard of Breaux Bridge, La., and Debra Bryan of Youngsville, La.; a step-son Tommy Dugas; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren. Mrs. Dugas is preceded in death by her father Gerald Morgan; her mother Wilma Mitchner Reid; a stepdaughter Carol Ann Breaux; one brother Lloyd Reid and two sisters Vivian Shuey and Rosalie Kalwishy. Pallbearers will be Tony Ogburn, Andy Haradon, Clint Ogburn, Toby Cormier, Jon West and Tommy Dugas. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Jack McCardle and Jesse Ogburn.
