Abbeville- Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 1 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath for Aston Ray Naunchie Landry, 75. The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, January 3, 2007 from 11AM till 9PM and continue Thursday, January 4, 2007 from 8AM till time of service. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 7pm. The Rev. Rex Broussard will conduct the funeral service with burial to follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery in Lafayette. Naunchie was born in Milton, Louisiana on June 26, 1931 and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Abbeville General Hospital at 9:05 AM. Naunchie, as he was affectionately known by all that befriended him, was the owner and operator of Landrys Barber Shop on the corner of Simcoe and Louisiana Ave in Lafayette for over fifty years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Picard Landry of Abbeville; his daughter, Charlotte L. Dubose of Indian Bayou, LA; three sons, Darryl J. Landry and his wife, Carolyn of Maurice, LA, Brent J. Landry and his wife Stephanie of Erath, LA, and Christopher Landry of Erath, LA; his grandchildren, Blake J. Landry and Bailey R. Landry both of Maurice, LA, Brandi M. Landry and Lacie N. Landry of Erath, LA; his stepsons, Samuel K. Ardoin and his family of Lafayette, LA and Michael C. Ardoin and his family of Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his first wife Myrtis LeBlanc Landry, his son, Michael R. Landry, his son in law, Paul E. Zero Dubose, his father, Joseph Venance Landry and his mother, Edia Prejean Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be Darryl Landry, Brent Landry, Christopher Landry, Blake Landry, Larry Landry and Sammy Ardoin. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be J.V. Landry, Jr., Robert H. Landry, and E.J. Ardoin. Naunchies grand daughters will be giftbearerrs for the mass, Brandi, Lacie, and Bailey Landry.
