Jeanerette- Funeral Services for Milton Horton, Sr., 80, will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at David Funeral Home Parlor in Jeanerette. Fr. Ed Degyter will be officiating. A Native of St. Martin Parish and a resident of New Iberia. Mr. Horton died Monday, January 16, 2006 at 5:25PM in a local nursing home. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at David Funeral Home " Jeanerette from 4:00PM till 10:00PM then resume on Thursday from 8:00AM till Services. Mr. Horton is a retired Boat Captain from Ed Broussard Marine. He loved to fish and hunt, and enjoyed fixing and knitting his nets for fishing. He is survived by two daughters Sharon H. Landry and her husband Frank Landry, Jr. of New Iberia, and June H. Melancon and her husband James Melancon of St. Martinville. Two Sons, Michael Horton of New Iberia, and Milton Horton, Jr. and his wife Lucille Horton of Jeanerette. One brother, Sidney Horton, Jr. and his wife Louise of Coteau Holmes. One sister, Lilly Mae Verret of Coteau Holmes, nine grandchildren and sixteen great Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Bergeron Horton, his parents Sidney Horton, Jr., and Anita Toffier Horton, four brothers Rufus, Richard, Arthur, and Harold Horton, and one sister, Clara Lewis. Pallbearers will be Michael Horton, Frank Landry, Jr., Charlie Horton, Kevin Jefferson, Lawrence Jefferson, III, and Jared Landry. Honorary Pallbearer will be Frank Landry, Sr. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette will Handle Arrangements
