Daisy Schexnayder Magnon

Abbeville- Funeral services for Mrs. Alex L. Magnon, the former Daisy Schexnayder, 77, will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 1:00 PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loyd Singley officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Wednesday, April 17, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM and continue on Thursday, April 18, 2007 from 8:00 AM until time of service. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. Mrs. Magnon, a native of Roberts Cove and a resident of Crowley, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at 7:21 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She was a member of Acadiana Cathedral in Crowley. She is survived by a son, Maxie Magnon and his wife Judy of Abbeville; four daughters, Alexis Landry and her husband Lloyd, Jr. of Kaplan, Cora Lee Dean Magnon of Rayne, Jonie Magnon of Lafayette, and Mary Janetta and her husband Willard Rocky Mayfield of New Mexico; eighteen grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander L. Magnon; her son, Jack Lester Magnon; and her parents, Louis Maurice Schexnayder and Melenia Vincent Schexnayder. Pallbearers will be Tekoa Schnexider, Micah Magnon, Myles Foreman, Rocky Mayfield, Mitchell Richard, and Joey Magnon. David Funeral Home of Abbeville will be handling arrangements.
