Sylvia Poncio Schuler

August 28, 1924 — February 15, 2006

New Iberia.Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Francis Schuler, 81, the former Sylvia Poncio, Friday February 17, 2006 at 1:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Schuler died Wednesday February 15, 2006 at 8:40 AM in a New Iberia Hospital. Father Charles Langlois will officiate at the services. Visiting hours will be observed Friday February 17 from 9:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Friday February 17, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Schuler was a native of New Roads and a longtime resident of New Iberia She enjoyed her yard flowers, her home, shopping and her grandchildren. Mrs. Schuler is survived by a daughter Francine P. Garzotto and her husband Jay of New Iberia, 3 grandchildren, Kara G. Louviere and her husband Doug of New Iberia, Lisa Garzotto of New Orleans and Michelle Garzotto of New Iberia, and one great grandson, Tyler Evan Louviere of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Poncio and Beatrice Bea Patin Poncio and her husband Francis Schuler. Pallbearers will be family and friends. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of funeral arrangements.
