LOVING FATHER AND GRANDFATHER Alton Bodin passed away on January 6, 2007 at home in Mandeville LA, as a result of cancer. He was 87 years old. Alton is survived by his daughter, Jean Dupuy of Mandeville, LA, granddaughter Michelle Evans with husband Scott of Covington, LA , granddaughter Stephanie Dupuy of Mandeville, LA, his daughter Linda Dubois with husband Johnny of Jeanerette, LA, grandson Mitchell Dubois with wife Norma of Jeanerette, LA, and granddaughter Melissa Myers with husband Dwayne of New Iberia, LA. He is also survived by two half brothers, Junius Myers and Roy Doiron and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Ida Bodin, his parents, Camille and Azeme Bodin, his sister, Mildred Lasseigne, and brother, Fred Bodin. Alton Bodin was born April 19, 1919 and was raised in Iberia Parish. He was a retired service station owner. He spent many of his reitrement years doing what he loved most, fishing with his friends and great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott Evans, Jordan Carriere, Austin Carriere, Mitch Dubois, Freddie Migues and Everette Gouner. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, January 11, 2007. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home in Jeanerette, LA at 11:00am with a funeral mass following at 1:00pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. John Mausoleum. David Funeral Home in Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
