Lafayette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, LA. on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 1:00 PM for Mrs. Esma Segura Romero, 86.. Father Louis Richard will officiate the funeral services with burial to follow at Our Lady of Lake Cemetery, in Delcambre,LA. The family requests that visitation be observed Tuesday, January 9 , 2007 from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM and will resume on Wednesday January 10, 2007 from 8:00 AM until time of the service. A Rosary will be prayed Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM. Mrs. Romero was a native of Erath , La. and a resident of Broussard,La. She was born on September 22, 1920 and went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Mrs. Romero was a homemaker. Mrs. Romero is survived by her daughter, Janelle Romero Dore and her husband Jimmy of Broussard; one brother Jerome Segura of New Orleans, LA. She is also survived by three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Wilbert Romero; her father Onezine Segura, her mother Ellia Viator Segura; two sisters; two brother and I grandson. Pallbearers Corey Dore, Travis LaGrange, Brian Cannino, Jason Dore, Jesse Cannino, Dustin Koeing.
