Abbeville - John Billy LeMaire, 80, of Maurice, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006, at a local hospital. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2006, at David Funeral Home, in Abbeville, Seminarian Brady LeBlanc will officiate the services. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph mausoleum in Milton. Born on October 19, 1925, Mr. LeMaire is the son of Adonis LeMaire, Jr and Albertine Faisco LeMaire. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. He was a superintendant for Avondale and retired after 20 years. Survivors include his wife Mazel Simon LeMaire of Maurice; sons, John Grayling LeMaire of Milton, Keith James LeMaire of Bayou Louis; daughters, Johnette Boudreaux and her husband Karl of Maurice, Belinda LeMaire of Bella Vista, AK; sister, Marie Louise Faulk of Meaux, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by great grandson, Chad Calvert and brothers, Joseph and Henry LeMaire. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at David Funeral Home. David Funeral Home of Abbeville is in charge of the arrangements.
