Jeanerette- Funeral services for Mrs. Houston Joe Landry the former Jeanette Chouette Barrilleaux, 86, will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at David Funeral Home Parlor in Jeanerette. Fr. Ed Degeyter will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery. A native of Jeanerette and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Landry died Sunday, January 22, 2006 at 3:50PM at her resident. Visitation will begin on Tuesday at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette from 5:00PM till 10:00PM, with a rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8:00AM till time of services. Mrs. Landry is a loving mother and grandmother that loves to go to the casino and play bingo. Many of her friends from ABL know her as Chouette . She is survived by four daughters, Irene Ladiner and her husband, Huey Ladiner of Delcambre, Leatrice Buteaux of Patterson, Judy Bayard and her husband, Dennis Bayard of Lydia, Barbara Clements and her husband, Louis Clements of Centerville; a son, Leroy Landry and his wife, Lucille of Charenton; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Barrilleaux of New Iberia, and Clara Landry of Baldwin; 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death her husband, Houston Joe Landry; parents, Ovide Barrilleaux and Edmae Verret Barrilleaux; two sisters, Sylvia LeBlanc, and Una Copp; two brothers, Roy Barrilleaux, and Wilbur Barrilleaux; and a great grandchild, Kyle Clements. Pallbearers will be Kerry and Kevin Landry, James and Adriene Bernard, Chris Clements, and Dennis Bayard, Jr. The Honorary Pallbearer is Mark Buteaux.
