New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Elmo J. Brother LaBauve, Jr., 82, on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Rev. Mike Arnaud officiating. Interment will follow in Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum.

A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 6:30 PM.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2007 at 8:00 AM until services.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. LaBauve died on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 5:35 PM in a local hospital. He worked for DeRouen Cleaners for 24 years, was the owner/operator of Brothers Texaco for 10 years and he was the Sacristant at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church for a number of years. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy.

The family request memorials to Catholic High School, St. Edwards School or the Sisters of Mount Carmel.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Claire DeRouen LaBauve; daughters, Renee LaBauve Haney and her husband Phil and Cindy LaBauve Landry and her husband Ross all of New Iberia; sons, Keith J. LaBauve and his wife Katie of New Iberia, and Andre Paul LaBauve of Miami, FL; sisters, Elaine L. Broussard and Betty L. Voorhies both of New Iberia. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Aimee H. Brasseux, Alan Haney, Mark Landry, Sara Landry, Matthew LaBauve, Thomas LaBauve, Michael LaBauve and David LaBauve all of New Iberia, Adam Haney of Baton Rouge, Chloe Landry Busch of Dayton, OH, Jude Landry of Normal, IL and his great grandchildren, Kate Brasseux, Claire Brasseux, Jack Brasseux, Caroline LaBauve and Eli LaBauve all of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmo J. LaBauve, Sr., his mother, Vernice Viator LaBauve and his sister, Thelma Tee Hudson.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Adam and Alan Haney, Jude and Mark Landry, Matthew, Thomas, Michael and David LaBauve.
