Erath- Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm at St. John Catholic Church in Henry, LA on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 for Cecilia Dubois Sas Peltier, 96. The Rev. Msgr. Doug Courville will conduct the funeral mass with burial to follow at Landry Cemetery. The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday, March 5, 2007 from 1pm until 10 pm and Tuesday, from 8am till time of service. A rosary will be prayed on Monday evening at 7pm at David Funeral Home in Erath. Sas was survived by her sons, Lorgie Peltier and his wife, May of Abbeville, and Ullyess Peltier and his wife Mary Joyce of Abbeville; her daughters, Genevie Mergist of Erath, Irene Schexnayder and her husband Clifford of Abbeville, and Beatrice Moore of Abbeville. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, fifty one great grandchildren, twenty six great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Whitney Peltier and her second husband, Rudolph Peltier, her father, Amedea DuBois, and her mother, Eliza Migues, her brothers, Odey Dubois, and Eddie Dubois, her sister, Rita D. Broussard, and her dauthers Avia Doucet and Florine Rush. Readers for the funeral mass will be Jordan Mergist and Gwen Mergist. Serving as pallbearers will be Ernest Doucet, Patrick Peltier, Bradley Peltier, Ronald Rush, Robert Suire, and Craig Mergist. Ms. Peltier family would like to express a special word of gratitude to The staff of Maison de Monde Nursing Facility and Dr. Ronald Lahasky for the care and compassion which they have shown their mother during her recent illness.
