EXTREMELY LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, AND GRANDMOTHER Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Paul Provost, the former Philomene Hebert, 74, of Carencro will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Wednesday in David Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Mrs. Provost passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2007 at 3:35 P.M. in a Lafayette hospital. A native of Jeanerette, Mrs. Provost enjoyed dancing and traveling, and she was an excellent seamstress. She was a wonderful cook, and her greatest joy was cooking for and spending time with her family. Mrs. Provosts special gift was teaching those around her how to love and how to be loved. Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Provost of Carencro; sons, Patrick Provost of Lafayette, Jerry P. Provost of Lafayette, Michael J. Provost of Houma, and Daniel J. Provost of New Iberia; daughters, Marion P. Reeves of Lafayette and Barbara P. Williams of Mississippi; sister, Emily Soliday of Harvey; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceding Mrs. Provost in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George (Odette LeBlanc) Hebert, Sr.; daughter, Paula M. Provost; and brothers, Gabrielle Hebert and George Hebert, Jr. Serving as pallbearers are Daniel, Michael, Patrick, and Jerry Provost, Terry Montoucet, and Charles Williams. The family of Mrs. Provost wishes to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, Dr. Prasad, Jeremy Terro, and Jeanne Sonnier. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
