Lafayette " Funeral services will be held for Gwen Lynn Hughes Visser, 48, on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 12:00 PM in David Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Visser died on January 23, 2007 at 2:23 AM at LSUS Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. Visitation will begin Friday, January 26, 2007 at 9:00 AM and will continue until service time at David Funeral Chapel. Internment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery in Youngsville, Louisiana. Mrs. Visser is survived by one daughter, Christina Maude Visser and one son Matthew Chase Lee Hughes both of Youngsville, Louisiana. She is also survived by two sisters; Patricia Wenz of Duson, Louisiana and Donna Culligan and her husband Bruce of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Darrell Hughes of Long Island, New York, Keith Hughes and his wife Susan of Long Island, New York , Colin Hughes of Youngsville, Louisiana, and numerous family members and friends. Gwen is preceded in death by her husband Mark Visser; her mother Frances McCloud Hughes and her brother Richard Wenz.
