JeaneretteMrs. Cedric L. Johnson, the former Mary Ruth Hebert, 88, died Friday January 27, 2006 at a New Iberia Hospital. Funeral Services for Mrs. Johnson will be held Monday January 30, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow in St. John Mausoleum. A rosary will be prayer Sunday January 29, 2006 at 6:30 PM in the funeral home. Visiting hours will be observed on Sunday January 29, 2006 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday January 30, 2006 from 8:00 AM until time of services. Mrs Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette. She was a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, Charter member of Entre Nous, a bridge club and sewing club. She was a past member of the Clio Club. Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, Cedric E. Johnson and his wife Judy of Youngsville, 2 Daughters, Mrs. Lyndell J. Guiberteau and her husband Frank of Jeanerette, Mrs. Kathie J. Cormier and her husband James of Lafayette, 2 Brothers, Warren G. Poochie Hebert and his wife Kelly of Jeanerette, and Harold Hebert and his wife Darlene of Lafayette. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Her parents Henry G. Hebert and Lillian Shoate Hebert, and her husband, Cedric L. Johnson, preceded her in death. Serving as pallbearers will be David Johnson, Frank Guiberteau, Jr, James D. Guiberteau, Samuel Cormier, Frank Guiberteau, Sr, and James Cormier. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Dr. James Falterman, Sr., Dr. James Falterman, Jr.., Warren G. Poochie Hebert and Carl Fortier. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of funeral arrangements.
