Rose Ella Derise Bodin

August 30, 1930 — January 31, 2006

Jeanerette-Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Ella Derise Bodin, 75, of Jeanerette will be held in the David Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 2, 2006. Father Ed Degeyter will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be held in David Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Mrs. Bodin died on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 in a Lafayette hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Bodin retired as legal secretary for Alex Allain Law Firm. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Rory B. ODonnell of Jeanerette; a son, C. Michael Bodin of Jeanerette; and three grandchildren, Allison R. ODonnell of Jeanerette, C. Andre Bodin of Lafayette, and Yvette M. Bodin of Austin, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Bodin; parents, Pierre and Ella Broussard Derise; and two brothers, Peter and Nolton Derise. Serving as pallbearers will be friends and family of Mrs. Bodin. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
