Lafayette-Funeral services for Mr. Robert James "Rob" Scott, 31, of Duson will be held in the David Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 5, 2006. The Reverend Mark Gondran will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, New Iberia. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 4, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in David Funeral Home, and will continue on Sunday from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Scott died on Friday, February 03, 2006 at 2:30 A.M. in Scott, LA. A native of New Iberia, Mr. Scott was a graduate of Comeaux High School and Lafayette Technical College. He had previously worked in the oilfield, and was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Survivors include a son, Gavin James Scott of Scott; stepdaughter, Stephanie Langlinais of Scott; mother and stepfather, Trish Canon Ibert and Brad Ibert of Rayne; maternal grandfather, Jim Cannon of Porum Landing, OK; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Cannon of New Iberia; Paternal Grandmother, Betty Scott of New Iberia; stepbrother, Ryan Ibert of Bristol, TN; and former wife, Dawn Alleman of Scott. Mr. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Harry Lee Scott, and his paternal grandfather, Walter Scott, Jr. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.
