Lafayette - A Christian Burial for Kathy Bellow Cornay, 47, will be held at the Chapel of David Funeral Home in Lafayette, at 12:00PM, Monday, July 20, 2009 with Father Mouton officating. Visitation will be on Monday, July 20, 2009 from 9:30AM until the services. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park in Lafayette.
Kathy a native of Gretna, and resident of Youngsville passed away Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 11:35PM at a local hospital in Lafayette. Kathy received a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She was a registered nurse at University Medical Center.
Survived by her husband,Frank Cornay of Youngsville, mother; Audrey A. Trombatore of Gretna, son; Ryan Stewart Cornay of Youngsville, daughter; Kimberly Nicole Cornay of Youngsville, brothers; Kim Michael Bellow and Kurt Thomas Bellow of Gretna, and Kevin Joseph Bellow of San Antonio, TX.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Paul Bellow of Gretna, LA and brother, Keith Paul Bellow.
Pallbearers will be Kim Bellow, Kurt Bellow, Kevin Bellow, Fred Cornay, Christopher Cornay, Austin Cornay, and Robert Cornay. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Cornay, and Mike Cornay.
The Cornay family wishes to express our heart felt thanks to everyone envolved during Kathy's illness. The kindness and love from so many has been overwhelming. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Michelle Richard, Janessa Dubois, Mariner Energy, Dr. Karen Rhoden and all medical staff involved in Kathy's care.
David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Highway (337) 837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
