NEW IBERIA-Funeral services for Mrs. Anthony Tony Dugas, the former Laurence Vincent, 89, of New Iberia will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Mr. Ron Broussard will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, St. Martinville. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. in David Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Dugas passed away on Monday, February 6, 2006 at 6:20 P.M. in a New Iberia care facility. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dugas was affectionately known as Mimi . She enjoyed sewing, playing bingo, and cooking. Mrs. Dugas greatest joy was spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren. Survivors include her sisters, Lena Dugas and Alma Thibodeaux of New Iberia; daughter-in-law, Genie Dugas of Loreauville; grandsons, Dana and Drew Dugas of Loreauville; and great-grandchildren, Michael Dugas of Houston, TX, Daniel Dugas of New Iberia, Deserae, Dalaina, Trent, and Brennan Dugas, all of Loreauville. Mrs. Dugas was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Tony Dugas; parents, Joseph and Emilda Dugas Vincent; son, George Dugas; sisters, Marie Derouen, Elise Hernandez, Felicie Estilette, Rama Borel, and Edith Vincent; and brothers, Adolph, Albert, and Portis Vincent. Serving as pallbearers will be Dana, Drew, Michael, and Daniel Dugas, Oris Gachassin, and Howard Valls. Trent and Brennan Dugas will serve as honorary pallbearers. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
