Alice Landry always enjoyed taking trips with her husband Frank. They traveled the Gulf Coast to places near & far. Her trips with him were no more when Frank took his final journey in 2003. On March 23rd, at 6:45pm, with her family at her side, Alice Landry embarked on what would be her final journey. A trip not to any of the places she had been to before with her husband Frank, but to a destination filled with peace and happiness. . . a place called heaven, finally together again with Frank, to whom she was married for over 55 years. A native of Youngsville and a lifelong resident of New Iberia, Alice co owned Alice & Franks Caf in New Iberia where there was good home cooked food and a warm atmosphere that made everyone feel welcomed. Her favorite things were working crossword puzzles, playing Parcheesi, cooking for her family, trying new restaurants. Alice, the fond memories you leave us with will never be forgotten, and all that youve given us through the years has made us the people we are today, and for that we are grateful. We were truly blessed to have you for over 81 years, and if we could, we would have you for 81 more. Youve got people to see and places to go. Your job here is done. Theres a song on the radio right now that says you cant tell me, it all ends, in a slow ride in a hearse , We would have to say that we believe in that very thing because this is not the end for you, for its only the beginning of a long and everlasting life together again with Frank and your parents to whom youve not seen in over 70 years. Have a good one Alice, and tell Frank we said hello, May you finally be in peace. Till we meet again, We Love You & God Bless You! David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
