Erath - 1st Lt Brandon Dronet, 33, of Erath, passed away while serving our country in the U.S. Marines, on February 17, 2006, in Djibouti, Africa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, in Erath. Interment will follow in the Bancker Cemetery. Readers will be Wayne Meaux and Sybil Montet. Gift Bearers include Janet Landry, Maxine Landry, Carri Thaler, Patti Dathe, and Nicole Pudol. Survivors include his wife, Summer Landry Dronet; children, Dustin Dronet, Kourtnie Dronet, Cody Dronet, and Madeline Dronet; father, Gene Dronet of Erath; mother, Catherine Montet of Henry; grandmother, Lily Dronet of Erath; brother, Clint Dronet of Erath; nephew, Jonathon Broussard; and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Dronet; grandparents, Daley Dronet, Exalton Montet, and Lulia Montet. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday at David Funeral Home, in Erath, from 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Friday. David Funeral Home of Erath, is in charge of the arrangements.
