Loving Mother and Grandmother Loreauville " A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Placide Emonet, the former Rita Mom Rit Tauzin, Age 83 at 1:00 PM on Monday Januray 29, 2007 at St Josephs Catholic Church with Father Paul Onuegbe officiating. Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery. Mrs. Emonet passed away Friday January 26, 2007 at 8:00 PM in a New Iberia Hospital. Visiting hours will be observed at David Funeral Home in Loreauville Sunday January 28, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and will resume Monday January 29, 2007 from 8:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed Sunday January 28, 2007 at 7:00 PM. Readers for the Funeral Mass will be Rhonda Owens and Faye Tauzin and the alter server will be Travis Dupuy. Mrs. Emonet was a native and livelong resident of Loreauville. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed French Music, dancing, caring for her family and extended family and loved talking on the phone with friends and family. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa E. Amy and her husband Wayne and Rita Elaine E. Viator and her husband Lawrence Toblanc both of Loreauville and Gloria E. Landry and her husband Rodney of Port Neches, Texas, her sisters, Anita T. Romero of New Iberia and Lillie Mae T. Romero of Loreauville. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Placide J. T-Neg Emonet, her parents Louis Tauzin, Sr. and Aurelia Boudreaux Tauzin, and brothers, Andrew, Anthony, Moise, Percy, Clarence, Louis, Jr. and Francis Tauzin, and a grandchild Christy Landry. Serving as pallbearers will be Glenn Romero, Billy Emonet, Chad Viator, Michael Dupuy, Craig Landry and Harold Tauzin. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Landry, Wayne Amy, Lawrence Viator, Brian Landry, Shawn Landry and Ricky J. Frederick. David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of funeral arrangements.
