Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Cheryl Ann Broussard Bass, 51, will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, December 29, 2008 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville with Father Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, December 28, 2008 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM, with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, December 29, 2008 at 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery.
A native of Lafayette and resident of Youngsville, Cheryl passed away at 10:40PM on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at her residence. She loved playing Bingo and looking at pictures. She always had a smile on her face. She was a member of the Lafayette Athletic Association for the Deaf. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.
She is survived by her mother, Mabel Simon Broussard of Youngsville; her companion of 13 years, Antoine Vines Trahan of Mire; her daughter, Kristy Bass; grandson, Carter Delphin; sister, Karen Babineaux and husband, Howard, Jr.; brother, Ronnie Broussard and wife, Tammy; nephews, Tyler Romero, Colby Romero, and Matthew Broussard, all of Youngsville; and one great-niece, Brooklynn Romero of Lafayette.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold J. "Bab" Broussard and her grandparents.
The family would life to express their gratitude to St. Joseph Hospice and all friends and family for their love and support.
