Erath- Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 18, 2007 at 1:00 pm at David Funeral Home in Erath for David Wayne Thibodeaux, 33. The Rev. Wayne Duet will conduct the funeral services with burial to follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath. The family requests that visitation be observed Saturday, February 17, 2007 from 12:00 noon until the service at 1:00 pm on Sunday. A rosary will be prayed on Saturday evening at 7:00 pm.

David was born in Jennings, Louisiana on May 23, 1973 and went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2007 as a result of a helicopter crash offshore. David was a young man that knew how to enjoy life to its fullest. While he was not working he enjoyed cooking, fishing and hunting. David never met a stranger and befriended everyone that he met. While his circle of friends was enormous, caring for his family was his greatest priority.

David is survived by his fiance, Stephanie Babin of Abbeville, his mother, Peggy Ann Thibodeaux of Youngsville, LA; his aunts, Odile Ardoin of Welsh, LA, and Joyce Louviere of Welsh, LA; his uncles, Howard Thibodeaux of Moss Bluff, and James Thibodeaux of Youngsville, LA; his future father in law, Leonard Babin of Abbeville, his future sisters in law, Shannon Touchet and her husband, John of Erath, LA, and Shantel Boudreaux and her husband, David of Erath, LA; his future brother in law, Cleo Babin of Youngsville, LA; his best friend Lydia Milliman of Abbeville, and his God father, Richard Ricky Louviere of Lake Charles, LA; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his future mother in law, Barbara Babin, his grandmother, Minnie Thibodeaux, and his uncles, Hubert Thibodeaux, and Clarence Jr. Thibodeaux.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cleo Babin, David Boudreaux, John Touchet, Ricky Louviere, Roland Thibodeaux, and Everett Thibodeaux. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Bergeron, and Jesse Bergeron, Blaise Touchet.
