New Iberia"Funeral services for Robert Kent (Bobby) Schexnayder, 42, of New Iberia will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. in David Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Charles Langlois will officiate. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time. Mr. Schexnayder died on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 6:00 P.M. in St. Martin Parish. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Schexnayder was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High. He earned a bachelors degree in finance from University of Southwest Louisiana, where he was on the deans list throughout his academic career. Mr. Schexnayder was previously employed by the State of Louisiana Bank and Credit Union Examiners Office. He greatly enjoyed spending time and playing games with his niece and nephew. Survivors include his parents, Arthur L. Schexnayder, Jr. and Norma Dupre Schexnayder of Cypremort Point; daughter, Brandi Schexnayder of Fort Rucker, AL; expected grandson, Alex (due in May) of Fort Rucker, AL; brother, Douglas Rene Schexnayder of New Iberia; sister, Christine Ann Schexnayder of New Iberia; maternal grandmother, Della Dupre of Prairie Ronde, LA; nephew, Bo Douglas Schexnayder of New Iberia; and niece, Lexy Kiersten Schexnayder of New Iberia. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, Chatman Dupre; and his paternal grandparents, Arthur Schexnayder, Sr. and Flo Schexnayder. Mr. Schexnayders family and friends will serve as pallbearers. David Funeral Home of New Iberia has been entrusted with arrangements.
