New IberiaMiss Rose Marie Rosie Andrus, 77, died Sunday at 11:55 PM in a Baton Rouge Nursing Home after a brief illness. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Steve LeBlanc Officiating. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visiting Hours will be observed Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will resume Thursday from 8:00 AM till time of services. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7: 30 PM in the funeral home. Miss Andrus was a native of Opelousas and a longtime resident of New Iberia. She was a Certified Nurse Anesthetist, having been employed at Dauterive Hospital for 46 years and retired in 1998. She was the first Certified Nurse Anesthetist to practice in New Iberia. She was a member of the Certified Nurses Anesthetist Association and a member of the Krewe Of Iris in New Orleans. She is survived by Three Nieces and Three Nephews, Vickie Sessions of Baton Rouge, La, Donna Andrus of Charlotte North Carolina, Jeanne Yohn of Covington, La., Mike Andrus and Larry Andrus both of New Iberia and Lieutenant Colonel Paul Andrus, U.S.M.C. Retired. Also surviving are eleven great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Odon Andrus and Leonie Bernard Andrus and Two Brothers, Andrew and Nils Andrus, and a nephew Jim Andrus. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Andrus, Larry Andrus, Brandon Andrus, Steve Sessions Errol Delahoussaye, and Dr. Jacob LaHasky. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dr. L.O.
