Jeanerette"A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Harry Peterson, the former Carolyn Moore, 101, on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Reverend Ed Degeyter will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2006 from 8:00 A.M. until service time, with a rosary to be recited at 8:30 A.M. in David Funeral Home of Jeanerette. Mrs. Peterson passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at 6:30 P.M. in a New Iberia nursing home. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Peterson was a past member of Entre Nous. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Survivors include a nephew, George Roane, III and his wife, Janice of Lafayette; and a niece, Muriel Galla and her husband, Pat of Louisville, KY. Preceding Mrs. Peterson in death are her husband, Harry Peterson; her parents, Joseph F. and Elodie Webster Moore; sisters, Mrs. Josie (George) Roane, Mrs. Thomas (Elodie) McHugh, and Mrs. Ern (Nina) Darcy; as well as a brother, Mr. Fetherson W. Moore. Serving as pallbearers will be George Roane, IV, Ripley Roane, Sr., St. Paul Bourgeois, IV, Sidney Bourgeois, Ronald Sovine, and Greg Sovine. Honorary pallbearers will be George Roane, III, St. Paul Bourgeois, III, and Dr. Pat Galla. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette has been entrusted with arrangements.
