NEW IBERIA - Services for Mrs. Herman Joseph LeBlanc, the former Dora Chriss, 90, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2006, at St. Peters Catholic Church with the Rev. Jude Halphen officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Monday, May 8, 2006, at 8 a.m. until the time of service. A native of Louisa and a resident of Breaux Bridge, Mrs. LeBlanc died at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at St. Agnes Nursing Home in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. LeBlanc was a nurse for Dr. G.A. Beaullieau for 25 years and a member of New Iberia Homemakers Club. She participated in Senior Olympics and was active in many volunteer organizations in and around New Iberia. She is survived by her son, Chris M. LeBlanc and wife Janice of Breaux Bridge; a brother, Godfrey Chriss of New Iberia; a sister, Nora C. Borel of New Iberia; a granddaughter, Carla L. Francis and husband Marc; and a great-grandson, Nathan Joseph Francis, all of Houston. Mrs. LeBlanc was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Joseph LeBlanc; parents, Godfrey H. and Amelia Martin Chriss; a son, Oris LeBlanc; two brothers, Wilson and Harry Chriss; and two sisters, Lillian C. Anderson and Rita C. Gahn. Pallbearers will be friends and family members. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of the arrangements.
