Maria Trahan Matt

Lydia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Theodore Matt, 90, the former Maria Trahan on Sunday, March 19, 2006 at 1:00 PM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville, LA. A resident of Lydia, LA and a native of Arnaudville, LA, Mrs. Matt died on Friday, Mar. 17, 2006 at 4:23 AM in Iberia Medical Center. She loved camping and traveling with her husband and grandchildren, gardening and loved going to the casino. We will miss her whit and sense of humor. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home in New Iberia on Saturday, Mar. 18, 2006 at 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM and reopen on Sunday, Mar. 19, 2006 at 8:00 AM till services. A rosary will be prayed on Saturday at 7:30 PM in the funeral home. She is survived by her son, P. Howard Matt of New Iberia, LA; her granddaughters, Vickie Migues and her husband Randy of Lydia, LA, Mary Gilbert and her husband Jack of New Iberia, LA, Yvonne Longon and her husband Scott of Lafayette, LA, Amanda Muilenburg and her husband Todd of New Town, Penn., Lillian Manuel and her husband Kenneth of Scott, LA and Pam Istre and her husband Rodney of Delcambre, LA; her grandsons, Albert Matt and his wife Uyen of Lafayette, Donald Broussard of New Iberia and Jude Brousard and his wife Brittany of Lydia, LA; 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Matt; her parents, Caliste Trahan and Lillian Roy Trahan; her daughter, Margaret Matt Racheau; her son, Melvin Matt; her brothers, Marion and Wilbert Trahan; and her sisters, Elodie Marks and Pearl Trahan. Pallbearers will be Albert Matt, Jude Broussard, Scott Longon, Donald Broussard, Randy Migues, Rodney Istre, Kenneth Manuel and Johnny Racheau. Honorary pallbearers will be Pam Istre, Vickie Migues, Mary Gilbert, Yvonne Longon, Lillian Manuel, Amanda Muilenburg, Dr. Uyen Chu and Brittany Broussard. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
