Marjorie Ann Rogers Zimmerman

August 30, 1935 — April 5, 2006

Jeanerette- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Herman Zimmerman, Sr. at 11:00AM Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00PM Friday till 10:00 PM. Reopen at 8:00AM Saturday till time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:30PM Friday at the funeral home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette. She owned her own trucking company for the past 8 years. She is survived by three sons, Herman J. Zimmerman, Timmy A. Zimmerman and wife Virginia and Troy M. Zimmerman and wife Lisa all of Jeanerette. Two sisters, Patricia Pat Buxton of Starks, La. and Betty Folks of Jeanerette and one brother James Bozo Rogers of Baldwin, La. Seven grandchildren, Ron Lacour, Zed Lacour both of New Iberia, Hayley Zimmermen of Lafayette, Mireille Prince, Ben C. Zimmermen, Keri Hargis and Hannah Zimmermen all of Jeanerette. Six great grandchildren, Alexis and Victoria Hargis, Tre Prince, Gage Prince, Zoe Lacour all of Jeanerette and Kamryn Lacour of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman J. Zimmerman, Sr., her parents Burford and Bernice Broussard Rogers. A son Ronald P. Zimmerman, two brothers Edward and Irvin Rogers and a sister Nancy Aucoin. Pallbearers will be Timmy, Troy, Herman and Ben Zimmerman and Bozo Rogers and Pat Degeyter. Honorary pallbearers will Ron Lacour and Zed Lacour. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
