Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Ronnie Paul Broussard, 44, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Jason Mouton officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 1:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 9:00AM until service time. Interment will be at St. Anne's Mausoleum. Ronnie passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at his residence. He was a very soft-spoken, kind and generous man who will always be remembered as a good friend to all he met. Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved fishing. He also enjoyed hunting and playing golf with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Duhon Broussard; his son, Matthew Paul Broussard; his sister, Karen B. Babineaux and her husband, Howard; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Gloria Duhon; numerous nieces and nephews; one great-nephew and one great-niece; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold J. Bab Broussard and Mabel Simon Broussard; and his sister, Cheryl Bass. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Broussard, Scott Burley, Donnie Duhon, Jon Fremin, Euel Langlinais and Richard Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler and Colby Romero and Howard Babineaux. David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Hwy., (337) 837-9887, is in charge of the arrangements.
