Lafayette - A gathering of family members was held Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 10:30 AM in David Funeral Home of Lafayette to remember the life of Roussell Picou, Sr., 74. Roussell was born in Morgan City, LA on May 12, 1931 and went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2006 at 12:30 PM at Lady of the Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette. He was a resident of Patterson, LA. Roussell is survived by his children Roussell Picou, Jr. of Lafayette, Charles Picou of Lafayette and Racheal Cox of Lafayette; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marjorie Grimmer of Lafayette and Mildred Cefalue of Morgan City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Picou and Edna Rodriguiz Picou; a daughter, Tina Verrett; and four brothers and sisters. David Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements.
