Loving Husband, Father, & Grandfather New Iberia.A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday May 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. John M. Fage, Sr. Age 62. Interment followed in Nativity Of Our Lady Mausoleum. Father Gary Schexnayder was the celebrant and and conducted the services. Mr. Fage died Thursday May 4, 2006 at 9:15 AM in a New Iberia Hospital. Mr. Fage was a native and lifelong resident of New Iberia. He was store mangers for the Lafayette office of Voorhies Supply with 34 years of service. He enjoyed traveling in his RV, cooking, and spending time with his pets. He will be sadly missed by family,friends and his beloved pets. He is survived by his wife Athenna Barker Fage of New Iberia, Two daughters: Michelle F. Viator and her husband Ivan of St. Martinville, and Marcille F. Belden and her husband Martin of New Iberia and One son: Johm M. Fage, Jr. and his wife Madlyn of Baker, La. Also surviving are Nine grandchildren: Patience Viator, DArcie Viator and Marion Viator all of St. Martinville, Cheree F. Schouest of Cypermort Point, Calley Finley of New Iberia, Katelyn Fage of Baker, Derek Belden, Jessica Belden, and Leland Belden all of New Iberia and Five great grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his parents Mike Fage and Ruby Belanger Fage. Pallbearers will by family members.
