Erath " A mass of Christian burial for Whitney Paul Mulate Menard, 45, will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2006 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a 7:00PM rosary, Tuesday, May 9, 2006 from 9:00AM until 10:00PM with a rosary at 7:00PM, and will resume on Wednesday, May 10, 2006 from 8:00am until the services at David Funeral Home of Erath. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Mr. Menard died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at 7:30AM at his residence. He sold insurance for Commonwealth Insurance Co., and American General Life Insurance Co. which he was employed with for the last 15yrs. He also spent a little time working for Landry Construction. Mulate loved playing golf, watching football, and Basketball. But above all, music was his life and he spent a lot of time working as a sound technician. He is survived by his wife, Karen Landry Menard of Erath; his mother, Lula Mae Lange Menard of Erath; two sons, Chase Paul Menard of Erath, and Brock Christopher Menard of Alexandria, LA; three daughters, Savannah and her husband Devon Sherman of Delcambre; Whitnie K. and Britnie K. Menard of Erath; and two brothers, Joe Menard of Erath, and Russell Menard of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his father, Minos Mulate Menard. Pallbearers will be, Jared Menard, Devon Sherman, Chase Menard, Leonard Squeaky Bienvenu, and Kyle Landry, Brock Menard Honorary Pallbearers will be, Russell and Joe T-Boy Menard David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling arrangements.
