New Iberia.Graveside services will be conducted Monday June 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery for Mr. James W. Jim Crotty, Jr. age 69. Mr. Crotty died Wednesday May 31, 2006 at 7:20 PM at his New Iberia residence. Rev. Ed Downs, pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate at the services. By family request there will be no visitation prior to services. Mr. Crotty was a native of Forth Worth, Texas, a resident of New Iberia at the time of his death and a former resident of Kerrville, Texas. He was a retired auto mechanic and an avid racing fan. He was a graduate of Franklin High School " 1955. He is survived by his children, James W. Crotty, III and his wife Ruth of New Iberia and Susan C. Thigpen and her husband Keith of Slidell, grandchildren, Jeremy Thigpen of Baton Rouge, Brian Thigpen and his wife Meredith of Baker, Melanie Thigpen of Slidell, and Heather Crotty of Lafayette and a great grandchild, Caleb Thigpen of Lafayette and his loving dog Rachel. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. Crotty, Sr and Ruth Payne Crotty and his sister Julie Crotty.
