Helen Landry Delaune

Loving mother and grandmother JEANERETTE " Services for Mrs. Bert G. Delaune, the former Helen Landry, 77, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2006 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Friday, June 2, 2006 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. at David Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 8 a.m. until the time of service. A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Delaune died at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, June 01, 2006, at Iberia Medical Center. Mrs. Delaune loved to go camping and fishing. She also liked reading and doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by her husband, Bert G. Delaune; five daughters, Darlene Sonnier and husband Earl, Donna Delaune, Hollis Derouen and husband Antoine Derouen Sr., all of Jeanerette, Elaine Sun and husband Tai of New Iberia, and Kristy Regira and husband Kevin of Port Allen; two sons, Gary Delaune and wife Andrea, and Brett Delaune and wife Tina, all of New Iberia; 11 grandchildren, Anthony Sonnier of Jeanerette, Sara Duplantis, Wesley and Emily Sun, Katie Delaune, Gina Green, all of New Iberia, Garth Gunter of Jeanerette, Lindsay and Allison Bodin, both of Port Allen, Catherine Derouen of Jeanerette and Christian Derouen of New Iberia; three great-grandchildren, Daija Green of New Iberia, Aidan Derouen and Tobie Sonnier, both of Jeanerette; and two sisters, Myrtle Glorioso of Charenton and June Landry of New Iberia. Mrs. Delaune was preceded in death by her parents, Fernand and Clothilde Boudreaux Landry; three brothers, Raymond, Roland and Donald Landry; and three sisters, Judy Landry, Ethel Skiles and Elaine Landry. Pallbearers will be family members. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of the arrangements.
