Irene Landry Hebert

Jeanerette- Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday June 7, 2006 at 10:30AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating for Mrs. Ronald Hebert, Sr. the former Irene Landry who died Sunday June 4, 2006 at 9:10 PM at Iberia Extended Care Facility in New Iberia. Visitation will begin Tuesday from 5:30PM till 9:00PM with a rosary at 6:30PM and again Wednesday from 8:00AM till service time. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Mausoleum. Mrs. Hebert grew up in Patoutville and graduated from New Iberia High School. She worked for Patouts Sugar mill and then moved to Jeanerette and worked for several years at First National Bank. Mrs. Hebert met her husband after World War II and they were married for over 50 years. She worked closely with her husband in their sugarcane business and was an avid supporter of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and St. Joseph School. She was a Eucharistic Adorer and past member of Entre Nous. She is survived by a son Ronald T-Boy Hebert and wife Corinne of Jeanerette. Three daughters, Janice Mekash and husband Terry and Rosemary Hargroder and husband Bruce all of Jeanerette and Loretta Hebert of Lafayette. Her Grandchildren, Laurie Hargroder, Michael Hargroder, Kristen Hebert, Tyler Hebert, Evan Hebert , Alexandra Hebert, Matthew Mekash and Phillip Mekash all of Jeanerette and Ryan Landry of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Hebert, Sr., her parents Willie and Aline Hebert Landry and her brother Harry Landry, Sr. Pallbearers will be Ronald Hebert, Jr.,Michael Hargroder, Tyler Hebert, Ryan Landry, Matthew Mekash and Phillip Mekash. Honorary pallbearers are Terry Mekash, Bruce Hargroder, Raymond Allain, Harry Landry, Jr., Millard Mannina, Dr. James Falterman, Sr.,Dr. James Falterman Jr., Robert Travosis and Hilius Verret. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph School. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
