Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Claude Cowboy Joseph Guidry, 56, will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at David Funeral Home of Abbeville beginning at 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery. A native and resident of Abbeville Mr. Guidry died on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at his residence. He was a professional Sugar Cane Producer. He was known for his love for Quarter horses which he raised at one time, rode, and enjoyed observing them in shows and at sales. He was also known for enjoying trail rides. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Laura S. Guidry of Abbeville; a son, Brian Guidry and his wife Tesha of Erath; two grandchildren, Braylon K. Guidry and Bryant T. Guidry both of Erath; two brothers, Charles Guidry of Erath and Clarence Guidry, Jr. of Abbeville; and five sisters, Judy Guidry of Houston, TX, Geneva Guidry of Houston, TX, Florene Guidry Simpkins of Wetpumka, AL, Claudette Guidry DeRouen of Lafayette, Gail Guidry Griffin of Shreveport; and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Guidry, Sr. and Maudry Lewis Guidry; and a brother, Rudy James Guidry. Serving as pallbearers will be Damone Louis DeRouen, Crandall Kyle Griffin, Henry Russell Griffin, Jr., Jerome Christopher Guidry, Michael Matthews, and Ricardo Vallot. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Guidry, Jr., Charles Guidry, Brian Guidry, Michael Guidry, Ronald C. DeRouen, Dr. Matthew Guidry, Lt. Col. (Ret.
