New Iberia---Funeral services for Mrs. Paul E. Guyote, the former Darlene Ebarb , 54, of New Iberia will be held Monday, June 19, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Father Salvino Ruben Premor will officiate.. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2006 from 3:00P.M.until 9:00 P.M. and Monday June 19, from 8:00 A.M. until time of service. A rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:30P.M. . Mrs. Guyote passed away on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 12:35 P.M. in a local hospital. Mrs. Guyotes favorite charities were Native and American Indian Charities. She was always proud of her Indian Heritage which was Cherokee. She Loved and cared for her one and only Granddaughter. She was also active in St. Edwards School activities and the Girl Scouts. Survivors include her husband, Paul E. Guyote, of New Iberia; Sons, Cristen M. and Joshua R. Guyote, both of New Iberia. One daughter Shannon D. Sargent and husband Joshua also of New Iberia. Her mother Geraldine Cookie Onderdunk Meza of Pineland, Texas, one brother, Jerome A.B. Ebarb and wife Judy of Welsh , La., and a sister, Alice E. Walters and husband Ed of Kountze, Texas . One granddaughter Glenda Ann Sargent of New Iberia.. She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Ray Ebarb. Serving as pallbearers are Michael Guyote, Thomas Gautreaux, Joshua Guyote, Rick LaSalle, Ed Walters, and Jerome Ebarb. Honorary Pallbearers are Tarlton Guyote, Joshua Sargent and Shannon Sargent. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
