Lester Decuir

April 6, 1918 — June 15, 2006

Loreauville- Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Lester Decuir, age 88 at 11:00AM Saturday June 17, 2006 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Loreauville with Deacon Chris Doumit officiating. A rosary is scheduled for 7:00PM Friday in the funeral home. Visitation will begin at 4:00PM Friday till 10:00PM and again Saturday from 8:00AM till time of service. He died at 2:05 Pm Thursday June 15, 2006 at a New Iberia Hospital. Military graveside services will be conducted by members of the VFW Post 1982. A native of Iberia Parish he is a resident of Loreauville having worked for Texaco as a pumper for 35 years. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in WWII. Survivors include his wife Grace Breaux Decuir of Loreauville. Two daughters and three sons, Penny D. Dressel and husband Michael, Byron J. Decuir and wife Roseanne, Rickie I. Decuir and Ferrell Decuir all of Loreauville and Scarlet D. Hazard and husband Bryant of The Woodlands, Texas. One sister Yolande D. LeBlanc of Loreauville. He was preceded in death by a son Parris Decuir, his parents Louis Rick and Eve Verret Decuir and a sister Yvonnne D. Falcon. He is also survived by 19 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. David Funeral Home of Loreauville is in charge of arrangements.
