Erath " A mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Jay Horace Nunez, Sr., 80, will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Wayne Duet officiating and Gayla Falcon will be doing the scriptural readings. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a 7:00PM rosary, and will resume on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 8:00AM until time of services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native of Abbeville and a resident of Erath Mr. Nunez died Monday, June 19, 2006 at 9:40AM at Vermilion Health Care Center. He was Manager of J. Lull Broussard Furniture Store for over 15years, a member of the VFW, Disabled Veterans, served in the Navy during WWII, and an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Nydia Richard Nunez of Erath; his son, Joseph Jay Horace Nunez, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline S. Nunez of Erath; and two grandsons, Jacob Luke Nunez, and Jansen Michael Nunez both of Erath. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lelia Mouton Nunez; and a sister, Velta N. Richard. Pallbearer will be Richard Mouton, Randal Hebert, Allen Richard, Neal Carret, C.P.Cabrol and John Falcon. David Funeral Home of Erath will be handling the arrangements.
