New Iberia--Funeral services for Mrs Charles Savoy, the former Bessie Claudia Chatagnier, 96, of New Iberia will be held on Sunday, June 25,2006 at 3:00PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Mike Romero and Mrs Nancy Pearce will officiate. Mrs Savoy passed away on Thursday, June 22,2006 at 10:21PM in a local hospital. Mrs Savoy enjoyed Senior citizens, bingo, fishing, sewing, cooking, and gardening. Survivors include nieces, Gloria Peltier, Nancy Pearce, Trudy Romero all of New Iberia and Holly Lowery of Alabama; nephews, Hugh Ahart, Hayden Ahart and Noah Lowery all of Alabama. She has several nieces and nephews in the Houma area of Louisiana. Preceding Mrs Savoy in death includes her husband, Charles Savoy and her parents, Edwin and Cecelia Navarre Chatagnier. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends of Mrs Savoy. Honorary pallbearers will be Gloria Peltier, Nancy Pearce, and Trudy Romero. David Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements.
